Jimmy Fallon claims Donald Trump's commencement speech was like Elle Woods' in 'Legally Blonde'

Updated

Well this sounds familiar ...

Donald Trump gave his first-ever commencement speech as president at Liberty University over the weekend, and it sounds like he took inspiration from the most quotable movie ever -- "Legally Blonde."

Jimmy Fallon pointed out on "The Tonight Show" the hilarious similarities between Trump's speech and the one Elle Woods gives at the end of the hit 2001 movie.

"It sounded kinda familiar ... I think it kinda sounded like Elle Woods' speech from 'Legally Blonde,'" Fallon told the crowd as they erupted in laughter. He then played a mash-up of both speeches -- and we can't deny the similarities!

Trump and Woods both talk about going out "into the world" with "passion" and "courage of conviction."

"Most importantly, you must always have faith in yourself," said Woods. Similarly, Trump emphasized the need to "be true to yourself."

The bubbly Woods ended her speech by saying "We did it!" And again, Trump -- just like Elle -- said "I did it!" in the middle of his speech.

This isn't the first time Trump's team has been accused of plagiarizing a speech. During the Republican National Convention last year, Melania Trump came under fire for seemingly taking parts from a former speech by then-first lady Michelle Obama.

Fallon's hilarious mash-up video, which has amassed over 3 million views on Facebook since it first aired on Monday, is sure to make you giggle. Check it out in the video above!
