Gwen Stefani doesn't know how to react to Adam Levine's inappropriate Blake Shelton joke

Updated

"The Voice" coaches Gwen Stefani and Adam Levine had a super awkward interaction on the red carpet earlier this week.

E! News asked Stefani what would shock fans to know about her boyfriend -- and fellow "Voice" coach -- Blake Shelton, and she responded with a fairly predictable answer.

"What would shock people about him?" she said. "Probably his knowledge of music -- like, broad knowledge outside of country music -- it's pretty crazy. And just how gifted he is as a songwriter and just as a singer and how much he just lets it all roll off. Like, he doesn't care. That's really shocking to me."

And that's when the Maroon 5 frontman took it to a whole other level.

"Or the fact that he has three balls," Levine chimed in as Stefani stood there shaking her head with her eyes closed.

"Hi!" she finally exclaimed. "Hi Mom! Hi Dad! I'm here with Adam Levine."

"Hi guys, sorry..." he said with his head down.

"Aren't you proud of me?" Stefani finished.

Of course, Levine poking fun at Shelton is nothing new -- the two have been making fun of each other on "The Voice" for 12 seasons now -- and Stefani has been there for a few seasons of their debauchery. But, because Shelton wasn't there this time, it become super awkward, super fast.

Fellow coach Alicia Keys was also standing there for the group interview, and she clearly had no idea what to do with herself.
