'Transformers' star Josh Duhamel gushes about wife Fergie ahead of Mother's Day

Josh Duhamel really, really loves his wife!

The "Transformers" actor got candid about his wife of eight years, Fergie, ahead of Mother's Day and it's safe to say the sparks are still alive.

Duhamel, 44, gushed about the "MILF" hitmaker during an interview with AOL.com, revealing why she's an incredible mom to their 3-year-old son Axl:

"The thing that really amazes me about her is her incredible patience and absolute dedication and love for him. She puts him above anything else."

The family man continued: "For a girl, which everything has always been about her, to see what the love of a child can do is pretty amazing. She would do anything or that kid. She's an amazing mom."

Fergie, 42, rose to fame as a female vocalist for hip-hop group The Black Eyed Peas. She then ventured off to pursue a solo career and found major success worldwide. Several of her singles, including "Big Girls Don't Cry" and "Glamorous" reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Josh went on, talking about how his wife, born Stacy Ann Ferguson, is such a "great teacher."

"I think she gets it from her own mom because she [Fergie's mom] was a speech therapist for kids with speech impediments. To see her mom teach him [Axl], then to see Fergie do the same thing and then have him learn it and become a really, really good speaker for his age ... That to me is incredible."

And you better believe Josh already has plans for Mother's Day, but unfortunately -- and for good reason -- he gave a quick no when we asked for a hint!

Before jetting back to Los Angeles to spend much-needed time with his family, Duhamel celebrated another fun holiday, Cinco De Mayo! The actor partnered with Corona -- which he said (and we can all agree with) represents "good times" -- for the festive holiday.

His first memory of the refreshing beverage?

"Literally Spring Break 1994 in Cancun -- it was craziness! We were college kids from North Dakota in Mexico on the beach."

Of course, we can only imagine the wild shenanigans that ensued. These days, his idea of a good time is much more tame and consists of relaxing in his backyard with friends and family with some "backyard games, a BBQ and chipping contests."
