'General Hospital' star Kristina Wagner, 54, poses in bikini for first time ever

Kristina Wagner has graced everyone's TV screens for years as the star of "General Hospital," but can you believe the actress has never posed in a bikini ever?!

Wagner, now 54, made her bikini debut in First For Women magazine. The actress, who plays Felicia Jones on the longtime daytime soap opera, rocked a teeny red bikini -- and she looked incredible!

"Never in my life have I posed in a bikini or underwear before, but I didn't mind because it's not about 'how do you get fit so you can wear a bikini' -- it's about a lifestyle and having good body image," the star told the magazine.

Behind-the-scenes photos also show Kristina in a similar blue two-piece as she poses poolside in Los Angeles. In the issue, she talks about her thoughts on body image:

"I look my best if I focus on taking care of my whole self -- mind, body and spirit."

Wagner made her "General Hospital" debut in 1984, before leaving for the first time in 2005. After taking a break, she then returned and left for a second time between 2007 and 2008, before ultimately returning for good in 2012.

Kristina grew up in the spotlight, so she realized firsthand how critical the public can be.

"For years I would easily attach to other people and what they thought," the TV star revealed. "But as I've become older, I've learned to honor myself, honor my feelings, own them and feel good about who I am. I don't need to judge myself anymore."

The "General Hospital" star found love on the set, marrying her on-screen love interest John Wagner in 1993, but they filed for divorce in 2001, briefly reconciled and then divorced for the second time in 2005. They have two sons together, Peter and Harrison.
