Daytime Emmys: Mary Hart receives Lifetime Achievement Award

At Sunday's Daytime Emmys, former Entertainment Tonight host Mary Hart was honored for her work and dedication to daytime television with the lifetime achievement award.

The award, which was given to Sesame Street's Sonia Manzano last year, was presented to Hart by her friend Tim Allen.

"I am so overwhelmed and my heart is beating very hard," Hart said upon accepting her statuette.

The actress is also known for her work hosting the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and as well as making cameos on shows like Days of Our Lives, Frasier and providing her voice for the Family Guy, The Fairly OddParents and Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.

Hart also noted that the show has been on the air for 36 years, and that people under age 30 probably don't even realize that there was a time when entertainment news was not covered.

She also paid tribute to her mom, who recently died.

Longtime Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune producer Harry Friedman received the same honor Friday at the 44th Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony.

Both awards shows take place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Sunday's show is being hosted by ET's host Mario Lopez and The Talk co-host Sheryl Underwood.
