Report: Gayle King's CBS co-workers are 'pissed and raving mad' that she vacationed with the Obamas

Gayle King's CBS co-workers had a lot of things to say about her recent vacation in Tahiti with the Obamas.

The 62-year-old journalist was spotted relaxing on billionaire David Geffen's yacht with Michelle and Barack. Other famous faces were also spotted, including King's BFF Oprah, Bruce Springsteen and Tom Hanks.

"The 'Capital J' journalists are pissed and raving mad that she was on a yacht with the Obamas over the weekend. The old-school people were talking about it. She shouldn't be doing that," a source told Page Six. "She's an anchor of a news program that covers the White House. You're held to a different standard. It's one thing to be friendly. It's another thing to go vacationing on a yacht."

Gayle's "CBS This Morning" co-anchor Charlie Rose also wasn't too happy about the situation:

"Charlie wasn't pleased. I thought he and Gayle got along, but when things like this happen, it makes the show look bad," the source added.

However, a source at CBS paints a different picture of the situation, saying it "sounds likes sour grapes."

"There's no truth to any of that. We love Gayle King."

The former president spent the past month in the Frenchy Polynesia for some much needed R&R.

According to the Washington Post, the former president was busy working on his White House memoirs while relaxing at the ultra-private South Pacific resort which boasts white sand beaches, natural forest, and a sea tortoise reserve.

His wife, Michelle, joined him midway into his trip. Judging from the photos, the two had an incredible time! Michelle was spotted paddle boarding while Barack swam in the Polynesian lagoon.

TMZ caught Oprah in Washington D.C. right when she got back from the trip, but the media mogul didn't provide specific details about the trip. She even refused to admit that she was on the yacht with Michelle and Barack -- but pictures don't lie, O!

The famous couple are definitely living their best life post-presidency. Soon after the inauguration, they jetted off to Palm Springs and then to the British Virgin Islands where they hung out at Richard Branson's private island.
