Blake Lively scolds reporter at Variety's Power of Women lunch: 'Would you ask a man that?'

Blake Lively's patience is wearing thin these days.

The former "Gossip Girl" star, 29, scolded a reporter at the Variety's Power of Women lunch in New York City on Friday for asking about her emerald green jumpsuit.

"Are we really doing this? Would you ask a man that?' Blake told the reporter, according to USA Today digital editor Maeve McDermott.

She was overheard telling the unidentified journalist to "become more aware, and that we change, and that we build women up. So, you can ask me another question."

The latter part of the heated exchange was captured on video. Watch below:

Ouch! To the poor reporter's defense, Lively looked absolutely gorgeous in the bright ensemble, but it was clear the star wanted to talk about something else other than what she was wearing.

The Power of Women honoree recently gave an interview with Variety that touched on the topic of gender disparity in Hollywood.

"It's hard to complain when there are women who are being sex trafficked, women being treated as objects and product," Lively told the magazine. "Yes, it's important to have that conversation, because equality is equality."

The star revealed she feels "fortunate" but "it's still to far from what it should be for women in 2017."

Lively has also been vocal about her philanthropic endeavors. The mother-of-two is currently working with Child Rescue Coalition to crack down on child pornography.

Friday's event honored six women changing the game -- and there's no doubt Lively's award is very well-deserved. Jessica Chastain, Chelsea Clinton, Gayle King, Audra McDonald and Viacom vice chairwoman Shari Redstone also received the prestigious award.
