Jim Carrey posts selfie -- and he looks shockingly different

Jim Carrey posted a rare selfie over the weekend -- and he sure looks different!

The 55-year-old actor sent Easter greetings to his Twitter followers while holding an adorable bunny munching on some carrots. Carrey looked dramatically different -- as in basically unrecognizable -- in the photo. He rocked a bushy grey beard and his signature long locks as he looked straight into the camera.

His followers were quick to point out his aging appearance:

He was even compared to some pretty famous people -- including Jesus (yes, really).

Some have attributed his aging appearance in the photo to all the stress following the death of his ex Cathriona White, but photos of him taken with White in May 2015 shows him sporting a similar style.

The "Truman Show" star has kept a relatively low profile following White's 2015 suicide. The 30-year-old was found at her home in Sherman Oaks, California, after a three-year relationship in which they dated on and off. Her family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the actor alleging that Carrey gave White prescription drugs she used to commit suicide. In another lawsuit against Carrey in October 2016, White's mother claimed that he gave her daughter three STDs during their relationship.

A California judge recently indicated that she wasn't going to let Carrey out of the two wrongful death suits, suggesting a suicide note by White indicates he may have some liability.
