Chris Evans is an extremely cool ex-boyfriend
Look at all these cool exes! These cool exes are everywhere! There's Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin. They're very cool, very consciously uncoupled exes. There's Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, two incredibly cool exes). It's amazing when any normal people can calibrate egos, emotions, history, "he saids," "she saids," or "they saids" to the appropriate levels for minimal awkwardness. But when Hollywood exes manage civility, it's like a tortoise is saying, "We love each other very much, but couldn't make it work given the busy production schedules of our respective projects."
Chris Evans is an extremely cool ex. He's dated Jessica Biel, Minka Kelly, and most recently, his Gifted co-star Jenny Slate. When the actor runs into his exes in Los Angeles, he gives them hugs. "It's very rare," he told Elle, referring to seeing them in the L.A. wild. "But I've had no bad breakups in my life. Typically, if I see an ex, I give a big hug, and it's wonderful to catch up." Extremely cool!

Hugs are a great way to defuse the situation. You bump upper torsos to alleviate any sexual tension and go about whatever you were doing before. Evans, an enlightened fellow, continues with a platitude about why this is the best bet for exes: "If you're ever fortunate enough to love someone and have them love you back, it's worth protecting that. It's rare that someone can truly know you. And if you've broken through that kind of wall, I think it's important to value that."
