Jackie Kennedy Onassis wanted to go on a date with Alec Baldwin when he was 33

Alec Baldwin, 59, is now married to his wife Hilaria, 33, but it seem he's already experienced in dating women with big age gaps.

When Baldwin was 33, he was sought after the then-nearly-62 Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. At the time, Jackie O asked a close friend to set them up on a date, according to People.

The bombshell was revealed in James Hart's memoir, "Lucky Jim." Hart was a close friend of John F. Kennedy's wife so of course his book reveals very intimate details about their friendship. He was also married to singer Carly Simon for 20 years.

In his book, James detailed Jackie's interest in men -- and she often asked him about his opinion on those that caught her eye. One evening, she opened up about Baldwin because she knew he and Hart were "good friends."

"Well, do you think Alec could be my date for the theater on my birthday?" Jackie asked James.

Hart recalled the moment in his memoir, expressing how surprised he felt about the incredibly direct request:

"I acted as though there was nothing unusual about it. Alec was most shocked of all, but there wasn't a moment's hesitation, even though he had just met Kim Basinger."

Hart then described how his conversation with Baldwin went down:

"I'm there," Baldwin said.

"You sure?" Hart asked.

"Are you kidding? Jackie Kennedy wants to go on a date? Of course," Baldwin replied.

James didn't go into further detail about their date, but we can definitely imagine Alec swooning the brunette beauty with his undeniable charm.

Coincidentally, Baldwin also released a memoir this month titled "Nevertheless." Unfortunately (and not surprisingly), it has no mention of his hot date with Jackie O.

Onassis passed away just a couple of years after her date with Baldwin in 1994 at 64. The American fashion icon rose to fame as then-president John F. Kennedy's wife in 1961. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. She then remarried, tying the knot with Aristotle Onassis in 1968.
