Mandy Moore shares ultimate '90s throwback pic with a teenage Justin Timberlake
Mandy Moore just posted a never-before-seen photo and it is now a treasured artifact of American history. We must preserve it forever.
The pic, taken in 1999, shows a fresh-faced (and heavily highlighted!) Mandy, age 15, smiling sweetly with a goofy-looking kid in a bucket hat: Justin Timberlake.
"Summer of 1999. Abercrombie tshirts and bucket hats," Mandy wrote in an Instagram caption. "Opening for this guy and his band. Look at my nervous smile!"

At the time, Mandy was a newcomer on the pop music scene while NSYNC was just about to hit its peak popularity. The 209-date tour -- which, kind of oddly, had five different names, including "Ain't No Stopping Us Now Tour" and "Boys of Summer Tour" -- featured a number of opening artists throughout its run, including Britney Spears and Raven-Symone.
Which means it has to be asked: Is there a chance that Mandy and Justin had a thing before he started officially dating Britney? The world must know.
