Duchess Kate chats with parents from son George's new school: 'See you at the school gates!'

Is Kate Middleton on track to become PTA president?

She's probably too busy for that, but the Duchess of Cambridge still wants to fit in with all the other parents: She was heard this week chatting with other Brits whose children attend the prestigious Thomas' Battersea School. Four-year-old Prince George will begin his academic career there in September.

Kate was mingling at the 2017 Portrait Gala in London's National Portrait Gallery when the topic of George's upcoming schooling arose. Several gala attendees were parents of current students.

After chatting with one couple -- Richard Found and wife Jane Suitor -- Kate said something particularly telling: "We were just chatting about Thomas, the school George will be going to. We're parents there as well," Found told reporters. "She just said, 'I may see you at the school gates.'"

While this may come as exciting news for most Thomas parents, a daily royal drop-off could cause traffic jams on London's busy streets -- complicating matters for the few moms whose carpools always run late. Time to set those alarm clocks even earlier, ladies.
