'Flip or Flop' star Christina El Moussa blasted for 'completely inappropriate' mother-daughter bikini photo

Things didn't go all that swimmingly on Christina El Moussa's Instagram account this week.

The "Flip or Flop" star came under fire after posting a photo of herself and her young daughter Taylor in bikinis on Thursday.

Oh, and there was a French bulldog involved, too.

"Welcome to the family!! @cashiethefrenchbulldog," the HGTV star wrote to accompany the photo. "Click link in my bio!!"

The photo was part of a promotion for swimwear line L*Space by Monica Wise. And it made some commenters dive off the deep end, hurling criticism at the reality TV personality, who is currently undergoing a divorce from her husband and "Flip or Flop" co-star, Tarek El Moussa.

"That is completely inappropriate! I am done with your show you are not making good mother choices," one detractor wrote.

Another chimed in, "I don't like the direction you r going in, just not cool."

"I agree. What mother does this???" went another complaint.

To be fair, many commenters weighed into to express their appreciation for the photo — and far more than a few gushed over El Moussa's figure.

But in addition to the criticism hurled at the reality TV star, some wondered confusedly what the bikinis had to do with the bulldog.

And yet another wondered, "why would I spend $90 on a kid swimsuit that won't fit them next summer?"
