Donald Trump once kicked One Direction out of one of his New York hotels.

In a new interview with Rollacoaster magazine, One Direction singer Liam Payne revealed that before Trump became president, he and his bandmates had a bizarre encounter with the Trumps.

While staying at one of Trump's famous hotels, the band received a phone call from Trump while they were sleeping asking if they would meet his daughter, (presumably) Tiffany. When they refused, he responded by saying he didn't want them staying at his hotel anymore.

"Trump actually kicked us out of his hotel once," Payne revealed. "You wouldn't believe it. It was about [meeting] his daughter. He phoned up our manager, and we were asleep. He said, 'Well, wake them up,' and I was like, 'no,' and then he wouldn't let us use the underground garage. Obviously in New York, we can't really go outside. New York is ruthless for us."

With no other real option, Payne and his bandmates -- Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson -- were forced to vacate the premises.

"So he was like, "Okay, then I don't want you in my hotel,'" he recalled. "So we had to leave."

There you have it: Donald Trump reportedly kicked the biggest boy band in the world out of one of his hotels for refusing to wake up and meet his daughter.

Payne also blessed his fans with some photos from his cover shoot for Rollacoaster on his Instagram this week. He's full of surprises, that one.
