Walt Disney World continues construction on new 'Star Wars' themed land -- and the latest update is awesome

Updated

"Star Wars" fans are anxiously (okay, desperately) awaiting the release of the "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" trailer. It won't arrive for at least another month, but the Disney team knows fans need something to tide 'em over -- and they did not disappoint!

Disney just revealed an incredible look at the design process behind its upcoming "Star Wars" themed lands, slated to open in 2019. Among other insane attractions, including a never-before-seen planet (!), guests will find themselves right inside a heart-pumping battle between the First Order and the Resistance. Oh, and you'll be able to take control of the Millennium Falcon. NBD.

We can't even imagine how much work goes into bringing something this big to life, but the Disney team provided a quick glimpse for the curious. A new video gives just a taste of the incredible design and construction process. Take a look:

Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort in California are both hard at work on the themed lands within the parks, which means that "Star Wars" fans on either coastline can get in on the adventure.
