Maddie Ziegler and Millie Bobby Brown are BFF IRL

Updated

Maddie Ziegler, 14, is officially an author. Ziegler established herself as a role model for young women after her "Dance Moms" performance attracted the attention of her now-mentor, Sia. Through social media, Sia recruited Ziegler to star in the iconic "Chandelier" music video and perform with Kristen Wiig on "Saturday Night Live." The rest is history, now available for your reading pleasure in her new memoir "The Maddie Diaries."

"The Maddie Diaries" follows Ziegler following her dreams and working hard to achieve success in both the dance world and in life. Fans were treated to a taste of Ziegler's storytelling when she dished on her friendship with "Stranger Things" star Millie Bobby Brown, 13.

In a BUILD Series interview on Tuesday, Ziegler confirmed the two were in talks to start a squad. "We said that we were starting a squad but nothing's happened," Ziegler revealed. "It hasn't evolved. I think it's just us two are best friends." Living in the public eye at such a young age is easier when you have a friend.

Hang-out sessions between the two revolve around food, as the best of friendships tend to do. "We love to shop, eat ice cream, just eat in general," she shared. "We went to Universal [Studios], that was really fun. We always just hang out in the hotel room and we swim. We have a lot of sleepovers."

The two are very supportive of each other's creative projects. Ziegler is a huge fan of Brown's acting. The feeling is mutual, Brown has Ziegler's routines from her breakout role on "Dance Moms" memorized.

"She always tries to mimic my dancing because she doesn't really dance at all. I have like 7, maybe 10 videos of her dancing on my phone." Ziegler further explained, "she puts on different outfits and costumes and does my walk that I did in competitions. She's so funny."

Don't expect to watch these classic home videos anytime soon. Ziegler is saving them for the day Brown crosses her. "She would probably be so embarrassed if I posted these because they're all payback videos of her."

Ziegler's new book "The Maddie Diaries" is in stores now. Check out her full interview on aol.com/BUILD. "Stranger Things" Season 2 premieres October 31st only on Netflix.
