Amal Clooney steps out in bright yellow frock during visit to the United Nations

Amal Clooney brought some much-needed sunshine to gloomy New York City!

The 39-year-old human rights lawyer hit the streets of the Big Apple in a bright canary yellow dress and matching coat that perfectly showed off her growing baby bump on Thursday.

The mother-to-be gave off serious Jackie Kennedy vibes in the sophisticated frock, which she accessorized with black pumps, sunglasses and a leather purse. Of course, there was not a hair out of place as she styled her brunette tresses in a sophisticated wavy look.

Amal's husband, George, didn't tag along during her visit to the United Nations this time around, where she gave a passionate speech about ISIS -- entitled: "The Fight Against Impunity for Atrocities: Bringing Da'esh to Justice."

The attorney has spoken out against ISIS in recent years, and she even acknowledged in an interview with BBC that she uses her fame to expose the atrocities caused by the extremist group:

"If there are more people who now understand what's happening about the Yazidis and ISIS, and if there can be some action that results from that, that can help those clients, then I think it's a really good thing to give that case the extra publicity that it may get," she said.

The power couple announced they're expecting twins this past February, and naturally, Amal upped her game in the fashion department. The British lawyer has stepped out in a number of impeccable outfits, including a bright pink frock and a vintage black suit just a day before.

She debuted her baby bump at the Cesar Awards in Paris just a couple weeks back, wearing a white strapless gown with ombre white, gray and black plumage all along the skirt. They looked totally in love at the event, showing off some steamy PDA in front of the cameras.

George and Amal's twins are due in June.
