Gwyneth Paltrow flaunts her insane abs for 'Women's Health': See the sexy bikini pics!
Whatever Gwyneth Paltrow's doing, it's working.
The 44-year-old actress covers the new issue of Women's Health, showing off her rock hard abs in a red, one-shoulder bikini. It's safe to say Paltrow is looking pretty incredible these days.
The Goop guru talks to the magazine about being at the forefront of alternative health and beauty trends, and sometimes being mocked for it. Whether it's controversially recommending vagina steaming, or putting jade eggs in your vagina, Paltrow says she has a simple criteria for what she endorses.
"When I find something I think works, I like to share it with people," she says.
She's also not afraid of judgment.
"When you're at the forefront of something that's new, people can get really reactive: 'This is crazy! Why are you doing this?'" she explains. "Then, five years later, everyone's fine with it."
"It's a blessing to be liberated from the chains of other people's perceptions of you," she continues. "It's part of wellness, working at that. I've gotten to a point where I like myself. I do my best as a person. I also have nothing to hide."
Goop now has its own Wellness supplement line, and Paltrow reveals her motivation for the new offering.
"I think women in modern society don't feel very well," she notes. "The number one thing women say is, 'I'm exhausted and I don't know why!' I want to get to the bottom of why that is. The supplements were born out of that impulse: I want to feel well, I want my friends to feel well, I want my readers to feel well."
The mother of two credits her own wellness to a healthy diet and taking supplements. The magazine notes she's coming off of an eight-day, goat-milk-only cleanse to fight the impact of parasites on the body, but Paltrow admits even she's prone to "baguette-and-cheese-and-red-wine" frenzies.
That's where supplements come in.
"The idea is to boost a (most of the time) nutrient-dense diet with high-quality supplements," she says. "We're low in so many nutrients."
Of course, Paltrow also makes exercise a priority in her daily routine.
"I like feeling good, and I know I feel my best when I exercise," she shares. "But it depends on the day -- I definitely don't always feel like doing it. I've made it a habit, just like brushing your teeth. That's how you have to look at it. ... You can't bottle a great workout."
When ET spoke to Paltrow last month at the La Perla fashion show in New York City, she echoed her sense of confidence that comes with age.
"I think that when you know yourself well, and you've lived your life with lots of ups and downs and you get to be in your 40s, I think that you feel pretty good all the time," she shared.
