'Beauty and the Beast' star Emma Watson explains why she doesn't take pictures with fans

The best part of everyone having a camera in their pocket is that they can quickly take a selfie when they spot a celeb.

However, if you see Emma Watson, don't bother asking her for a selfie because the answer will be no.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Emma Watson explained the reason behind her self-imposed rule: "If someone takes a photograph of me and posts it, within two seconds they've created a marker of exactly where I am within 10 meters."

For Watson, the rule is about privacy -- and who can blame her? Especially after the terrifying experience social media maven Kim Kardashian went through in Paris.

Watson will, however, speak with fans about Harry Potter and will sometimes break her picture rule for kids.

Now that she is going to be playing a Disney princess in "Beauty and the Beast," it's likely even more kids will be flocking to her for pictures.
