Slay! Taraji P. Henson's blue velvet gown is absolute perfection at the 2017 Oscars

Taraji P. Henson definitely outdid herself this time around ...

The "Hidden Figures" star slayed the 2017 Academy Awards red carpet in a blue velvet Alberto Ferretti gown with a sophisticated thigh-high slit. Her cleavage subtly spilled out of the stunning ensemble that perfectly hugged her curvaceous figure.

A gorgeous diamond necklace adorned her neck while she wore simple black stilettos and carried a clutch of the same color to complete the look.

Henson, 46, looked like she was feeling confident as she struck several dramatic poses for the photographers, including a couple where she showed off her toned pins. At one point, she even blew a sweet kiss for the camera!

The rest of her "Hidden Figures" costars also dazzled on the red carpet. Octavia Spencer looked elegant in a dreamy Marchesa off-the-shoulder ensemble, while Kirsten Dunst rocked a classy black strapless number.

The star-studded cast is looking to take home the Best Picture award for their hit 2017 film. It also won at the SAG awards for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
