Wondering why so many stars were sporting blue ribbons with their ensembles at Sunday night's 2017 Oscars? We have the answer!

Celebs like Karlie Kloss in Stella McCartney and "Loving" star Ruth Negga in Valentino stepped out to the Dolby Theater with the bright accents to honor the American Civil Liberties Union, or the ACLU.

The ribbon added a gorgeous pop of color to Kloss' stark white look and Negga's incredible red number.

The ACLU has garnered a ton of support since Donald Trump officially became president back in January as more and more Americans speak out in support of human rights.

The organization's mission is "to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States" and stars were encouraged to don the accessory to stand with the ACLU in that mission.
