Jimmy Kimmel surprises a tour bus full of people with a real Oscars experience

Updated

A tour bus full of people who just thought they were going on a Hollywood star sightings tour got the surprise of a lifetime on Sunday night when they really got to see stars in the flesh -- at the Oscars!

Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel arranged for a group of unsuspecting tourists to be taken on a Hollywood bus tour where their last stop was the 89th annual Academy Awards. To give them the ultimate shock the group of people were escorted through the backdoors of the Kodak Theater with no idea where they were being led. Kimmel had the house lights turned down and when the group of people opened the doors to the stage of the award show all of the A-list attendees yelled, "Mahershala!"

Then the lights came up and -- as you guessed it -- the tour bus group couldn't contain their gobsmacked expressions as they saw everyone from Halle Berry to Denzel Washington to Emma Stone to Meryl Streep.

One couple told Jimmy Kimmel that they were engaged and getting married this summer. Naturally, Kimmel arranged for Denzel Washington to get up and be the officiant.

Jennifer Aniston gifted a couple her sunglasses right from her purse (wonder how much those cost!) and Ryan Gosling handed some fans his candy bag parachutes.

Needless to say, it was an epic moment for the tour bus. Add this to the list of ways Kimmel is winning the Oscars this year.
