Celebrities react to actor Bill Paxton's death at 61

Hollywood is mourning the loss of beloved actor Bill Paxton.

The icon, known for his roles in "Titanic," "Aliens" and "Twister," died unexpectedly at 61 after experiencing complications after heart surgery.

Shortly after the announcement of his death, celebrities took to social media to pay their respects.

Jamie Lee Curtis, who worked with the actor on the 1994 film "True Lies" opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger, was one of the first to share their condolences on social media:

"Nooooo. Bill Paxton is gone. Such a funny, talented, loving human."

Comedian Rob Lowe shared several tweets about his "close friend," describing the late star as one of the "finest actors in the business."

The Texas native, who began acting in the 1970s, was on CBS show "Training Day" at the time of his passing. He is survived by his two children, James and Lydia, and his wife Louise Newbury.
