This parrot does a spot-on impression of Rihanna's hit 'The Monster'

Getting upstaged is never fun, but it's gotta be worse when you're shut down by a bird.

Countless aspiring stars have flooded YouTube with Rihanna covers, but a parrot's take on "The Monster" has gone viral -- and once you watch it, you'll understand why.

Rihanna's unique voice is famously difficult to emulate, but this tropical bird just has a natural knack for impressions. Now that he (or she) has tackled the 2013 hit, the world would love an encore. Maybe something sultry like "Take A Bow"?

We don't currently know how Rihanna feels about parrots, but she does have a tattoo of a falcon on her ankle.

The parrot's owners haven't yet been identified, but they're heard on the video speaking to their talented pet in Portuguese. Must be proud parents.
