Maria Menounos' mom, suffering from brain tumor, is on miraculous road to recovery: "Getting better!"

Six months after revealing her mom's devastating brain tumor diagnosis, Maria Menounos took to Instagram Thursday to share an incredible update: "Stable and looks to be getting better!" the E! News host wrote. "Praying we continue in this direction."

The photo of Menounos' parents, mom Litsa and dad Constantinos, is bittersweet. Although Litsa's bare head is a difficult reminder of her hard-fought battle, the couple's huge smiles speak for themselves. (And, if we may we also note, Litsa's manicure is on point.)

Menounos first shared the heartbreaking news in August, calling her mom "a champion" as she began her first round of treatments. "And so our journey begins," she wrote. "Please pray for her full recovery." Despite her unimaginable pain, she kept the faith, hashtagging "#choosehappiness" and "#wewillfight."

Menounos is engaged to director-producer Kevin Undergaro, but the couple put wedding plans on hold to deal with the unexpected family health crisis. "We're just trying to get past this crazy, crazy twist God has thrown at us," she told the Australian Associated Press in October.

At the time, Menounos was traveling across the globe on a hectic E! News filming schedule. "I just miss her so much; I've been gone for two weeks," she said.

The latest good news elicited messages of support from hundreds of fans, many of whom noted the emotion in her parents' faces. "You can see the strength and grace in your mom's eyes and the pure admiration and pride in your dad's," one fan wrote.
