Amy Duggar reveals identity of family member who abused her in new episode of 'Marriage Boot Camp'

After keeping specific details about her difficult childhood a secret, Amy (Duggar) King has finally revealed the family member who abused her -- her father.

"He picked me up by my throat, all the way up to the ceiling," Duggar said in the teaser for Friday night's episode of WE tv's "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars."

Amy, 27, provided details of the scary situation in the short teaser.

"My dad was like, 'Did you brush your teeth?' and I was like, 'Yeah daddy," the reality star explained. "'And he was like, 'No you didn't.' And he picked me up by my throat, all the way up to the ceiling. He was like, 'You will brush your teeth.'"

This is the first time Amy, the niece of "19 and Counting" stars Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, has identified her abuser.

In an interview with People in early January, she disclosed it was a family member, though she didn't provide specifics.

"I can't say who it is, but I can say, on the show I did forgive them. It was a very heartfelt moment where I actually forgave that person who hurt me when I was younger."

Amy, who is known as the rebel cousin of the Duggar clan, married Dillon King in September 2015. The couple got married in a Pinterest-perfect wedding in Arkansas after getting engaged less than two months before the big day!

Prior to the reality star's bombshell revelation, she said her husband received a lot of hate mail because a good number of fans thought he was the one who was physically hurting her.

"It was crazy," she said to People. "People were like, 'Amy run. Run away from him. Divorce him now. he's going to abuse you, you don't need that.'" She set the record straight on Twitter, writing that the situation didn't involve Dillon in any way.
