George Clooney "might be taking some time off" when baby twins arrive
The king of Hollywood may soon give up his throne -- but only to start raising a prince and princess.
George Clooney, just weeks away from becoming a first-time father, "hinted that he might be taking some time off" after wife Amal gives birth this spring, People reports. The couple is reportedly expecting twins, a boy and a girl.
The 55-year-old actor is "excited but nervous" to tackle parenting alongside Amal, 39, a renowned international human rights lawyer and George's wife of nearly three years. The couple primarily lives in an English mansion, which has reportedly undergone a $15 million renovation in preparation for their new family additions, according to the Daily Mail.

Amal has made few public appearances since the start of 2017, but she and her husband did attend an early January event hosted by their Clooney Foundation for Justice. Amal wore a loose floral mini dress, keeping her bump under wraps -- but it was still enough to get rumors swirling.
Although the duo has declined to share details with the public, close friend Matt Damon was in the loop even at the pregnancy's earliest stage. Back in fall of last year, George "pulled me aside on set, and I mean, I almost started crying. I was so happy for him," Damon told Entertainment Tonight.
While the two may attend the upcoming Academy Awards, it seems unlikely given reports that George wants his wife to stay off her feet. They have not yet officially confirmed a due date.
