BAFTAs host Stephen Fry takes a dig at Donald Trump's immigration ban in sly way

BAFTA Awards host and witty Brit Stephen Fry found a sly way of taking a dig at President Donald Trump on Sunday at the acclaimed award show at Royal Albert Hall.

After Dev Patel won the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his turn in "Lion" and gave his speech, Fry, returned to the stage to begin to present the next award. He took the opportunity to acknowledge the judges of the award show and explain to the actors who didn't win that he hoped they didn't take the slight personally.

"I hope you don't try and buy another judge to give you a different version. Instead, you'll take it with grace and decency," Fry told the audience, a serious dig toward Trump.

Recently, the President of the United States spoke out after the federal appellate court ruled against reinstating his refugee and immigration, and called it a "national security issue."

Rumors have swirled that the President will look for another option in order to get his immigration ban reinstated. The comment from Fry was also probably a knock against Trump's initial move with replacing the interim attorney general when she didn't support his ban.

It looks like even British award shows are not going to sit down when it comes to talking Trump. Throughout award season many celebrities from Meryl Streep to Julia Louis-Dreyfus have spoken out against the head of state.
