Malia Obama spotted at 'Girls' premiere party in NYC

Malia Obama was spotted at a premiere party for HBO's "Girls" on Thursday night, The Cut reports.

Vulture writer E. Alex Jung tweeted that he saw the 18-year-old at the event, which took place at New York's famed Cipriani.

"I thought I was staring at a model at this party," Jung tweeted. "But nope it was just MALIA OBAMA."

Obama, who's currently on a gap year between graduating high school and going to Harvard in the fall, is currently living in New York as she begins her internship at The Weinstein Co., Page Six reported last month.

The sighting might be surprising to some, but it actually makes sense given that the daughter of Barack and Michelle actually interned on the set of "Girls" two summers ago, who it would make sense that she'd snag an invite to the premiere party for the groundbreaking HBO show's sixth and final season.

Just another day in the life of the coolest-ever (former) first daughter!

Though Obama didn't walk the red carpet at the actual premiere (and seemingly wasn't photographed at the after party, where she was spotted, following the event), the red carpet was certainly star-studded nonetheless.

In addition to the stars of "Girls" Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke and Zosia Mamet, a slew of other big names connected to the show were in attendance: Rita Wilson, Judd Apatow, Jennifer Konner and Kathy Najimy were a few of the other recognizable stars there.

Check out all of the red carpet arrivals below:
