Tim Daly skiing injury may require 'Madam Secretary' rewrites

"Madam Secretary" star Tim Daly was injured in a skiing accident over the weekend, which may force some rewrites on the CBS political drama, TheWrap has learned.

The actor was injured while on vacation at Sundance over the weekend, breaking both of his legs. He is scheduled to undergo surgery on Wednesday, and will likely need between six to eight weeks to recover.

Production on "Madam Secretary" is not expected to be affected by the injury, and Daly is still scheduled to appear in every episode of the season. The show's producers and writers will find a way to either film around his injury or incorporate it into the story.
