'Saturday Night Live' writer suspended over Barron Trump tweet

Apparently, not everything goes on Saturday Night Live.

Katie Rich, a writer for the longrunning NBC live show, learned that the hard way.

The "Weekend Update" writer has been indefinitely suspended from the show after she tweeted a comment about President Donald Trump's son Barron, Mashable has confirmed.

In the tweet, which has since been deleted, she wrote Friday that 10-year-old "Barron will be this country's first homeschool shooter," per Deadline, which first reported the news Monday.

NBC declined to comment.

The writer apologized on Monday. The new message is now the only — and pinned — tweet on her profile.
