'Dancing With the Stars' pro Peta Murgatroyd reveals post-baby body in selfie
Peta Murgatroyd is getting real.
Murgatroyd, 30, and her fiancé Maksim Chmerkovskiy, 36, welcomed their first child Shai Aleksander into the world less than two weeks ago -- and the "Dancing With the Stars" pro is already sharing some revealing snaps of herself.
The dancer got candid on Sunday night with an Instagram post that showed the realities of pregnancy.

"Real life: I took this photo 8 days post birth," she wrote. "I left the hospital looking 5 months pregnant. Many people think a woman should shrink right back to her pre-birth weight immediately. That is just not the truth for most."

The new momma took a mirror selfie in a bra and pair of black yoga pants. Her blonde tresses were up in a messy bun.
"The female body is incredible and resilient, but healing and strengthening take time. Now it's time for patience and hard work. Lots of love to all the new mamas out there on the journey. #yesihaveascrunchieinmyhair #shaiiswortheverypound."
And while she wasn't shy about showing photos of her post-baby bod, snaps of her bundle of joy will have to wait.
"We can't wait to share him with you, but for the first most crucial weeks of his life we're just keeping him for ourselves and soaking up these moments," Murgatroyd wrote on another Instagram post. "Thank you for your patience and all of your love."
The "DWTS" duo have been dating on and off since 2012. Maksim popped the question in 2015.
