In her first royal event of the New Year, Kate Middleton visited the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families in London on Wednesday morning.
The Duchess of Cambridge, who celebrated her 35th birthday earlier this week, looked stunning in a royal blue jacket and matching heels.
The mother of two met with local families in the Early Years Parenting Unit, which focuses on the mental health of children under the age of 5.

In one sweet clip shared on Kensington Palace's Twitter account, the Duchess handed a cute little boy his toy and he happily said, "Hi!"
It's been a busy week for the royal family. On Sunday Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip attended church in Sandringham, marking their first outing since falling ill over the holidays. Kate Middleton and Prince William accompanied them.

Then on Tuesday, Prince William visited Centrepoint, a youth hostel for homeless teens in London.
The royal couple is stepping up to the plate more since Queen Elizabeth retired as the patron of 25 patronages, handing off some of the workload to her grandsons William and Prince Harry in addition to Middleton.
