In the two days since Kelly's departure from FOX News was announced, the speculation around how it would change the landscape at both FOX and NBC News has been rampant. With the question of who Kelly's replacement would be answered, attention will now be turned towards where Kelly's daily show will land in NBC's lineup.

Reports surfaced on Thursday that Kelly's show could potentially replace the third, 9.am. hour of NBC's "Today" show, which was formerly helmed by Billy Bush. Of course, Bush was famously fired from the network after controversial tapes surfaced of a lewd conversation he had on "Access Hollywood" with president-elect Donald Trump.

Kelly's last official day at FOX News is Friday, Jan. 6.
