Was Elvis Presley in Home Alone?

The rock legend Elvis Presley passed away in 1977 -- but ever since, some fans are convinced he's still among us. One interesting theory in particular is that The King was not only still kicking in 1990, but he was in the popular movie Home Alone.

YouTube user AnareahRubbers posted a video displaying "proof" that Elvis was an extra in the movie, specifically the scene at the airport:

The video, published in 2008, has over 1 million views. Publisher Noisey recently resurfaced the theory and investigated it.

Here is a side-by-side view of Elvis and the extra:

According to Noisey, the director of Home Alone, Chris Columbus, addressed this mystery in the audio commentary of the movie.

"They are convinced, these people, that this is Elvis Presley," he said. "That he's faked his death, and because he still loves show business, he's an extra in Home Alone."
