Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony's reunion single tops tropical songs chart

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony notch a new No. 1 on Billboard's Tropical Songs airplay chart (dated Dec. 31), as their collaborative "Olvidame y Pega La Vuelta" steps 2-1 in its third charting frame. The track, from Lopez's forthcoming Spanish-language album, becomes her second chart-topper, after she first crowned the list in 1999 when the then-married couple led the chart for seven weeks with their first joint single, "No Me Ames."

Anthony logs his record-tying 28th No. 1, matching Victor Manuelle for the most leaders in the chart's 22-year history. The two salsa superstars often volley for the title, while sharing a lead that's double over the acts closest behind them: Elvis Crespo and Gilberto Santa Rosa, with 14 No. 1s apiece.

"Olvidame" was released on Nov. 17, following a spirited debut performance of the song at the Latin Grammy Awards, where Lopez presented Anthony with the Latin Recording Academy's Person of the Year award.

Released first as a pop song, a tropical version of "Olvidame" was released Nov. 28. The song, a re-worked version of Argentine duo Pimpinela's original, climbs by 18 percent in spins at Tropical Songs reporters in the week ending Dec. 18, according to Nielsen Music.

Over on the multi-metric Hot Latin Songs chart, "Olvidame" hops 33-30 in its fourth week.

Jimenez Remembers Rivera: Spanish pop singer Natalia Jimenez earns the highest debut on the Top Latin Albums chart, arriving at No. 2 with her tribute album to the late Jenni Rivera, Homenaje a La Gran Señora (1,000 copies sold in the week ending Dec. 15).

The powerhouse vocalist earns her third solo top 10, following her 2015 set Creo En Mi (No. 2 debut and peak) and her 2011 debut solo set Natalia (No. 4). She previously scored two top 10s as the lead singer of La Quinta Estacion: Sin Frenos (No. 1, 2009) and Flores de Alquiler (No. 7, 2005).

The new set includes Jimenez's renditions of some of Rivera's most successful tracks, including "De Contrabando," "Inolvidable" and "Mirame." Some of Rivera's family members join Jimenez on the songs, with her brother Lupillo Rivera featured on "Chuper Amigos," while her daughter Chiquis Rivera lends her voice to the bold "Ovarios."

Maluma & Fifth Harmony Hike: Maluma continues to scale Latin charts with his Fifth Harmony-assisted "Sin Contrato," bounding 20-12 for a new high on Latin Airplay, earning Greatest Gainer honors (rising 32 percent to 9.3 million audience impressions in the tracking week).

The song also reaches a new peak on Hot Latin Songs, stepping 13-12 in its 16th frame, as a remix featuring Don Omar and Wisin assists the climb. The track was streamed 1.3 million times domestically in the most recent tracking week, with 899,000 stemming from YouTube (where its official video has amassed 254 million global views since its release).

Elsewhere, Maluma spends a fifth week atop Hot Latin Songs as featured on Shakira's "Chantaje." The song sold 5,000 downloads (up 16 percent), and was streamed 4.9 million times in the U.S. (an 8 percent increase). At radio, it earned 13.7 million audience impressions, up 8 percent.
