It's starting to look like 2017 could be the end for 'Flip or Flop'

"Flip or Flop" could be coming to an end.

According to E! News, the show is scheduled to air beyond 2016 but not much longer than that. The show has had a three year run but likely won't be on for 10 years or more.

A source claims that the show will continue to film to fulfill contractual obligations but "will end after that."

Despite the drama of the couple's personal life, the show could still go on.

"Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage. We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago, and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed," Tarek and Christina El Moussa said in a joint statement after news of the separation broke.

In May, police responded to the El Moussa home after the couple had an explosive fight that ended with Tarek running from the home with a gun.

HGTV is reportedly standing by the couple.
