Watch Neil Diamond & James Corden re-write 'Sweet Caroline' as the very NSFW 'Sweet Christmastime'

Maybe it was the custom ugly Christmas sweater with a picture of the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer that had the song's title on it, but somehow The Late Late Show host James Corden convinced Neil Diamond to transform one of his most beloved hits into a raunchy track about how not to party at the holidays. On Wednesday night's (Dec. 14) show, "Sweet Caroline" was transformed into "Sweet Christmastime," an ode to all the bad choices people make at office parties that end up going on their permanent HR record.

"We're coming up on Christmas time, but it also means we're coming into office holiday party season," Corden explained about why they decided to give "Caroline" a raunchy pdate. "Where it began/ The holiday office party/ Thought it would suck without a doubt," Diamond sang while perched on a stool in the middle of a forest of Christmas trees, next to a screen filled with images of bored office workers getting ready to let loose.

"So we drank a few shots/ Spiked the eggnog with vodka/ Til everyone started making out," Corden added. The rest, well, let's just say someone got handsy with Stan, Val got a text she most likely did not want, Steve got a same-sex smooch and uglies were definitely bumped.

Things went downhill very quickly from there. Check out the sloppy results:
