Lady Gaga praises Madonna's Billboard Women in Music speech: 'You're so brave & strong'
Following Madonna's empowering Woman of the Year acceptance speech at the Billboard Women in Music Awards on Saturday, Lady Gaga has thanked the iconic singer for her words, which touched on issues of feminism, misogyny and more.
The Mother Monster tweeted to the Queen of Pop how "brave & strong" she is, thanking her for being an inspiration to girls everywhere.
Over the years, Madonna and Gaga have had an at times tumultuous relationship due largely to frequent comparisons between the two artists.
The Billboard Women in Music Awards airs Monday (Dec. 12) on Lifetime at 9 p.m. EST.
