Celebrities react to Alan Thicke's death at 69

Hollywood is mourning the death of one of the most iconic dads in television history.

Alan Thicke, who played Dr. Jason Seaver on the hit '80s sitcom "Growing Pains," died unexpectedly on Tuesday at 69 from a heart attack. Thicke was playing hockey with his 19-year-old son, Carter, when he collapsed. He was transported to Providence St. Joseph's Medical Center around noon where he was pronounced dead.

A number of well-known figures shared their condolences on Twitter.

Bob Saget, who Thicke recently worked with while guest starring on Netflix's "Fuller House," tweeted that the actor was "such a good husband, father, brother, and friend.

Ellen DeGeneres also shared a tear-jerking tribute to the late actor: "America loved Alan Thicke. I'm so sad he's gone."

Other celebrities who tweeted their love and remembrances of Thicke include Paula Patton, Ryan Seacrest and Larry King.
