2017 Golden Globe Award nominations announced

The Golden Globe nominations have been announced for the 74th annual Golden Globe Awards.

Don Cheadle, Anna Kendrick and Laura Dern announced the nominations early Monday morning and several television series like "The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story," and "The Night Manager" came out as early leaders with nominations. For movies, "Manchester By the Sea" and "La La Land" grabbed several nods as well. "La La Land" appears to be the darling of the award season so far after earning several big nods on Sunday at the Critics' Choice Awards.

One winner has already been announced: Meryl Streep will be honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement in the film industry.

The show will air on January 8, 2017, and be hosted by comedian Jimmy Fallon.
