Ellen DeGeneres posts White House mannequin video with Robert De Niro, Tom Hanks

Ellen DeGeneres is trying to out-do her Oscar selfie.

The talk-show host took the mannequin challenge to the White House on Tuesday, gathering her fellow Presidential Medal of Freedom honorees for the latest social media craze.

DeGeneres, who was in Washington D.C. to accept her honor from President Barack Obama, was joined by Robert De Niro, Tom Hanks, Diana Ross, Bruce Springsteen, Bill Gates, Kareem Abdul Jabbar and more for the A-list video, which she posted to Twitter just hours before the medal ceremony took place.

In the video, DeGeneres can be seen frozen-in-action.

The post already has over 5,000 shares. DeGeneres' memorable Oscar selfie ended up as the most retweeted entertainment tweet of 2014.

The comedian almost didn't make it to through the White House gates, however, as the Ellen host shared on social media that she was denied entry earlier when she forgot her ID.

This isn't the first star-studded mannequin challenge to hit the White House. First lady Michelle Obama joined in on the viral craze when she took the challenge with members of the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this month.

The Presidential Medal of Freedom recognizes especially meritorious contributions to the national interests of the United States, to its culture, or to other significant endeavors. Other notable names who received the honor, 21 in total, from President Obama on Tuesday include Robert Redford, Lorne Michaels, Vin Scully and Michael Jordan.

When it was her turn, an emotional DeGeneres accepted her medal while in tears.
