Brad Pitt's FBI probe ends, actor won't face charges

Brad Pitt won't face charges in the FBI's investigation into whether the actor abused one of his children during an airplane flight in September.

A spokeswoman for the bureau said Tuesday that the FBI won't be conducting further investigation into the alleged incident.

"In response to allegations made following a flight within the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States which landed in Los Angeles carrying Mr. Brad Pitt and his children, the FBI has conducted a review of the circumstances and will not pursue further investigation," the FBI said in a statement. "No charges have been filed in this matter."

Pitt, whose wife Angelina Jolie filed for divorce earlier this fall, was accused of assaulting the couple's son, Maddox, during a flight in September.

Earlier in November, the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services concluded their investigation into an alleged incident between Pitt and their son Maddox, finding that the actor had not harmed the child, per TMZ.

Pitt and Jolie reached a settlement in their divorce case earlier this month. Jolie, who filed for divorce in September, will continue to have sole custody of the six children with Pitt in a joint agreement reached by the actors, according to her representative.
