Subway musician's daughter is an A-list actress

Alice Tan Ridley, the mother of the Oscar-nominated actress Gabourey Sidibe, has been singing in the New York subway system for 30 years.

On September 24, she performed at the Highline Ballroom in New York City, in connection with the release of her debut album, "Never Lost My Way."

After years of hard work, Ridley is finally getting her chance to shine.
