Watch James Bay passionately deliver 'Let It Go' at the 2016 AMAs

James Bay continued promoting his breakthrough debut album Chaos and the Calm with a performance of its lead single at the 2016 American Music Awards. "Let It Go" came out way back in Sept. 14, but that didn't seem to matter for the English singer-songwriter.

After a succession of up-tempo, dancer-backed performances, Bay and his band dimmed the lights and calmed the mood of Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater. The song's bare orchestration left plenty of room for Bay to show off the range of his voice, and he didn't disappoint. He navigated passionate belts and hushed whispers, doing all he could to bring raw emotion to his four minutes onstage.

Check out the performance below:

This was Bay's first AMAs performance and by now, one of many, many performances of "Let It Go." Could new music from the 26-year old be on the horizon?
