Best Thanksgiving Episodes

Thanksgiving is right around the corner -- and with it comes the thought of family, friends, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie ... and classic Thanksgiving episodes to look back on, of course.

For some, one of the many iconic "Friends" Turkey Day episodes may take the cake -- or trifle (get it, "Friends" fans?). But for others, "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" just can't be beat.

If you need a refresher before you take your pick, we're here for you. Go ahead and catch up:

How I Met Your Mother: Slapsgiving (2007)
Lily and Marshall host their first Thanksgiving as a married couple, and Barney is on edge the entire time anticipating when Marshall is going to deliver the infamous bet-losing slap. All five friends are together in this one -- so really, what more can you ask for?

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (1973)
Charlie Brown finds himself in a conundrum when Peppermint Patty invites herself over to his house for Thanksgiving -- even though he was planning on spending the day at his grandmother's rather than hosting himself. As to be expected, many "good grief" moments ensue.

Gilmore Girls: A Deep Fried Korean Thanksgiving (2002)
Lorelai and Rory find themselves overbooked for Thanksgiving -- with four (count 'em, FOUR) invitations from Sookie, Luke, the Kims and Lorelai's parents, Emily and Richard. In an attempt to make everyone happy, the girls hop from house to house in what is now widely considered one of the most beloved "Gilmore Girls" episodes.

Seinfeld: The Mom & Pop Store (1994)
Elaine wins Mr. Pitt a ticket to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and Jerry crashes dentist Tim Whatley's (yes, Bryan Cranston's character) Thanksgiving party in hopes that there will be a dentist there who can help him with his recently hurt teeth.

The Simpsons: Bart vs. Thanksgiving (1990)
Bart ends up learning a valuable lesson at a homeless shelter after arguing with his family and running away from home.

The OC: The Homecoming (2003)
Ryan runs into trouble when he and Marissa head to his home town of Chino, while Seth gets into hot water when Anna and Summer discover he's "two-timing" them.

Everybody Loves Raymond: No Fat (1998)
Marie decides to host a healthy Thanksgiving dinner to help her cholesterol -- and unsurprisingly, it's not at all what the Barones expected.

Roseanne: We Gather Together (1989)
Jackie finally divulges news about her new job to her mother, which results in fighting throughout the holiday meal.

Cheers: Thanksgiving Orphans (1986)
Diane is the only one with Turkey Day plans -- and when Carla agrees to host a pot luck dinner for everyone, not everything goes according to plan.

Every Friends Thanksgiving episode ever (we couldn't choose!)
If you can choose between when Joey has a turkey on his head, Rachel makes an unappealing trifle (with peas!) or when Brad Pitt guest stars, we applaud you. We just couldn't do it.
