Soccer star Abby Wambach is dating famous Christian mommy blogger, Glennon Doyle Melton

Abby Wambach has found love again.

The U.S. soccer star, who has been embroiled in a public relations problem after she got a DUI and talked openly about her team's loss at the Olympics in Rio this summer, is getting her personal life in order with a new relationship.

Wambach is dating Christian author Glennon Doyle Melton — known as the "ultimate confessional writer." Glennon announced the happy news on her Facebook page with a long post about how she fell for the soccer star.

The two definitely found love at the right time. Wambach told media two months ago that she was divorcing her wide of three years, soccer star Sarah Huffman, and Melton is also divorcing her husband of 14 years, Craig Melton.

Wambach has struggled publicly since news of her split with DUI arrest that pushed her to confront her addiction to alcohol and drugs.

Glennon wrote some very touching words about her new love, Wambach:

"Abby is deeply sensitive and kind. The kids call her an M&M because she looks tough on the outside but inside she's really mushy and sweet. Abby's brave. Not just with her words but with her entire being. She has never been afraid to be herself, even when the world told her not to be. I learn from her everyday about the woman I want to become. She is committed to her friends and family. She has this sense of country and honor and chivalry that feels beautiful to me. She cares about the vulnerable- children and animals especially. She's unwaveringly good to Craig, to the kids, to Sister and to all my people. And oh my God, she is so good to me. She loves me for all the things I've always wanted to be loved for."
