Amy Schumer's sarcastic apology for Tampa Trump joke: 'I will go straight to a rehab facility' (Video)

Amy Schumer responded to the 200 people who walked out of her show in Tampa for criticizing Donald Trump with an open letter she read aloud at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night.

"Dearest Tampa: I'm sorry you didn't want me, a comedian who talks about what she believes in, to mention the biggest thing going on in our country right now," Schumer said. "How could I think it was OK to spend five minutes having a peaceful conversation with someone with different views?"

"After the show, I want you to know that I will go straight to a rehab facility that will teach me how to make all people happy," she continued. "Both the rich, entitled, white people who are gonna vote for him and the very poor people who've been tricked into it."

"I look forward to putting this all behind us in a couple weeks when Hillary Clinton is our motherf—ing president!" she concluded.

Schumer drew a cavalcade of boos on Sunday night when she called Trump an "orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster."

She then asked a Trump supporter to join her up on stage so he could explain why he was voting for the GOP candidate. The audience member responded that he was voting for Trump mainly because he didn't trust his opponent, Hillary Clinton.
