First full 'Iron Fist' trailer debuts as Sigourney Weaver announced for 'The Defenders'

Danny Rand is officially ready for action.

Netflix unveiled the first footage from it's upcoming Iron Fist series, which stars Finn Jones as the Marvel martial arts master.

The New York Comic Con panel also had another treat in store, with Sigourney Weaver making a surprise appearance, confirming speculation that she would be joining a Marvel project. The actress will be joining The Defenders, Marvel and Netflix's upcoming teamup project that will combine characters from Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

The panel included the first appearance together of the leads of the Defenders, with Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) Mike Colter (Luke Cage) and Jones posing for photos, in a move reminiscent of the first time Marvel Studios assembled the Avengers a San Diego Comic-Con 2010.

Marvel teased that Weaver will play a big role, but it's being kept under wraps for now.

"Marvel is honored to have an actress of her caliber and status join what is already our biggest show ever! She is by definition a class act," said Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer and Head of Marvel Television.

Former Dexter executive producer Scott Buck is the showrunner on the series, which premieres March 17, 2017.
