The inaugural Meadows and Music Festival kicked off in Queens, New York this past weekend and despite dreary weather, the event did not disappoint.

Run by the same promoters who put together the ever-popular Governor's Ball Music Festival, fans had high expectations for the weekend. But from the moment fans stepped into Citi Field, they realized this was one festival they would never forget.

The parking lot of Citi Field completely transformed for the music festival into a space that featured four separate stages where some of the biggest names in music performed, including J. Cole, KYGO, Chance the Rapper and Kanye West.

But the festival didn't stop with the music. The best restaurants in the tri-state area were also at the scene so festival-goers could eat and be merry while listening to some amazing tunes.

Kanye's headlining performance on Sunday night was the most talked-about event of the weekend, especially since his Governor's Ball spot was cancelled earlier this summer due to bad weather.

Fans were hyped, the crowd was electric and everyone was ready for Kanye. They even spent hours in line waiting to buy his Saint Pablo tour merchandise.

When Kanye finally took the stage, the stage literally lit up. Fans went crazy for the headliner as they sang along with the artist's best hits. And although West only performed half of his set -- the rapper left early as news of Kim Kardashian West's armed robbery broke -- Yeezy was still one of best concerts of the weekend.
